It’s time to unwind. It’s the end of the day and you have a moment to breathe deeply. Often this time can be filled by endlessly scrolling through your phone or turning on the tv. While not inherently bad, and sometimes exactly what you may need, what if that moment became a bit more intentional than not? What if you gave yourself 5 minutes to pause, reflect, and refresh? 5 minutes to respond to your experience that day and prepare yourself for the next. Next time you sink into the cushions of your couch, ask yourself these three questions:
- What is one thing that brought you joy today?
- Did you learn anything about yourself or someone in your life today?
- After today, what do you want to be intentional about tomorrow?
You can write your reflections down, you can share them with your partner, or you can keep them for yourself. Building habits to be intentional with yourself empowers you to live in the moment and embrace your experiences fully.
